Participating & Serving

At McIvor we believe that Christian life is best lived in community. The evidence of a biblically functioning community is when people serve one another and the broader society. There is an inherent design placed on each of us that finds satisfaction, meaning and fulfillment to our lives as we serve.

There are many opportunities for your involvement - both in the church and in the broader community. McIvor holds to a concept of gift based ministry which encourages people to follow their God-given passions. We also believe that each person is uniquely gifted by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of building up the body of Christ (i.e. the church) and extending the Kingdom of God. We therefore share in the ministry God has given us and serve each other as Christ has served us (Mark 10:45).

Volunteers are always needed at McIvor. Whether it is to teach children, participate on a worship team, support a special event, initiate a new ministry, serve coffee, clean up after a program, or visit those who are home-bound. We work together for the common good, and for the building up of the community of faith. McIvor Church invites you to share your gifts with the broader community.
