Worship

This Sunday we will hear from multiple McIvor folk sharing testimonies as we continue in our series, The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. The outline is available here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KYQrKUf9c63FMBZiQ2j5-n5zcazf5ryD/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=100562178917712953587&rtpof=true&sd=true

Community

On May 17 there will be a 55+ Walk and Talk gathering from 9:30-11am. Come out and walk some laps around the gym (or not) and visit with others over a cup of coffee. After 2 years of almost no gatherings at church many are feeling disconnected. This is a way to reconnect in a casual way, there is no structured program planned. Consider bringing your own mug to use so that there will be less garbage at the end of the morning. We invite you to drop in to help with one of the many projects at our Work Bee on May 30thand 31st from 4:00-9:00PM. No matter your experience level, or skill set, we have a number of tasks designed for you to serve alongside others in ways that will help the ministry of McIvor in this coming year. Dinner will also be served around 5:30 on both nights.

Please join us in praying for God to provide the right people for leadership vacancies at our church. We are searching for the following volunteer roles:

  • Finance Committee Chair
  • Treasurer
  • Human Resources Rep

For more information please speak with someone on our Discernment Team, or e-mail [email protected].

Mission

We have set a goal of raising $2,000 to send new Canadian kids to Camp Arnes this summer, and we are still in need of donations. This is an incredible opportunity for kids that don’t even dream of leaving the inner city, and we have hopes for God impacting their lives through a week at camp. We’ve now collected enough sleeping bags and supplies, but let’s consider how we can give financially to see this dream become a reality for these kids.

From One88: Neighbourhood Clean Up – May 14th– As the snow melts and the white and grey of winter turns to the green of spring, we are gathering people to transform the community around One88. We will be doing a neighbourhood cleanup of streets, lanes, and parks to bring safety and beauty to the area and the families and children that live here. YOU are invited to join us. That can be through participating in the event (come to 188 Princess at 9am on May 14th). And/or through sponsoring the event. For more information, please email us by following this link.
