January 15, 2024 – This Week at McIvor

Weekly Worship Service

Sunday at 10 a.m. Henry Bergmann will be speaking from Hebrews 13:1-14: Yesterday, Today and Forever. Sunday School for ages 4-14 will follow the service.

Prayer Focus: 14 Days of Prayer for MBCM Churches – January 7-20

Hear my words, LORD! Consider my groans! Pay attention to the sound of my cries, my King and my God, because I am praying to You! LORD, in the morning You hear my voice. In the morning I lay it all out before You. Then I wait expectantly.Psalm 5:1–3

The circumstances surrounding the MBCM Special Assembly this Saturday are challenging. They bring up a great deal of personal story, of experienced convictions and much more.

We call on all MBCM churches to pray. We invite you to pray daily up to and including January 20. As a community, pray that:

  • God will be glorified in our words and actions
  • We will be drawn into a deeper love of our Lord Jesus
  • The Spirit will lead you to pray as the Lord wills
55+ Walk & Talk – Tuesday, 9:30 a.m.

Come for an inspiring devotional, walk in the gym and visit with old and new friends. Please bring a snack to share that doesn’t need a plate or cutlery and your own mug if possible.

McIvor Prayer Day – Drop in Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Come by the church anytime from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for a self-guided prayer time. Booklets with prayer requests will be provided and you can spend time at the church praying for the various ministries and needs.

The Discernment Team is holding another round of prayerful discernment to find people for church leadership. This is also an opportunity to pray specifically regarding the need for additional people to serve on Church Council.

MBCM Special Assembly – Saturday, 10 a.m.

As some of you are aware, there is a conference decision to be made regarding the status of River East Church at a Special Assembly this Saturday. If you would like more information and copies of documents chronicling the journey, please email the office

Let’s pray for all of our MB Churches in Manitoba and the Conference as a whole, as we walk a difficult path that is causing some division within the conference.
