Sherryl Koop
Interim Lead Pastor
Tel: (204) 339-1691 ext. 3
Sherryl grew up in McIvor church starting at age 15 when the church officially opened (and that was many, many years ago)! She has remained an active member of the church ever since that year as it has been a very supportive and encouraging community not only in her faith journey but also in the leadership gifts God has given her. Her love for the church globally is strong and she sees healthy faith communities as places where people can discover who Jesus Christ is and be welcomed and integrated just as they are!
Cycling, kayaking, being outdoors, gardening, art classes and learning how to stay nimble and lift weights at her age are just a few ways Sherryl spends her time. She also LOVES where she lives and is active with her neighbourhood association.

Jonathan Klassen
Teaching Pastor
Tel: (204) 339-1691 ext. 5
Jon’s passion for the Church sparked as a young adult and sent him on a journey, first to Steinbach Bible College (where he met his wife, Lynette), then to Providence University College and Theological Seminary for his MDiv, and now here at McIvor as Teaching Pastor.
Jon enjoys learning, contemplating and trying out ideas–especially theology, and most especially, Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Above all, Jon loves diving into deep study of Scripture to see the Word of God come alive in the life of the Church. Other interests include hiking, camping, and gardening (all improved by a cup of coffee somewhere in the process). Jon thinks he would probably be a pretty good landscape photographer if Lynette would let him use her camera (but she won’t).
Tamira Wiebe
Interim Pastor of Youth and Young Adults
Tel: (204) 339-1691 ext. 6
Tamira had been working with youth for many years.
After earning a Master of Arts degree from Providence Theological Seminary, she went to Portage la Prairie to work for Youth for Christ, then to BC to be Associate Dean of Students at Columbia Bible College.
Tamira and her husband Elwood have three grown children, three grand cats and one grand dog, as well as Georgie, a senior Yorkie who protects their home.
For the last 20 years Tamira has been working with the local school division in programs for marginalized teens.
Mikayla Schroeder

Mikayla enjoys ministry and began working at McIvor Church in 2021. She has a passion for biblical knowledge and theology, apologetics and learning about different beliefs.
Mikayla graduated from Canadian Mennonite University in 2023 with a double major in Bible and Theological Studies and Counselling. She works with the youth and young adults of the church and loves to share her passion of biblical literacy.
When Mikayla is not at the church, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking and camping. She also has several creative hobbies such as crafts, sewing and photography.
Mikayla is always excited to come to Sunday services to visit with congregants and also new people who come through the doors.
Colleen Epp
Office Administrator
Tel: (204) 339-1691 ext. 2
Colleen and her family have attended McIvor since 2005, participating in many aspects of church life. Currently one of the office administrators, she enjoys helping the church run from behind the scenes and welcoming visitors to the office with a fresh cup of coffee. Away from work, Colleen likes baking pies and buns, reading British mysteries and looking for ways to attract more birds to her yard.
Stephanie Kiouangou
Office Administrator
Tel: (204) 339-1691 ext. 2
Stephanie grew up calling McIvor home, until she moved to Québec to build relationships with and make Jesus known among the most unreached people group in North America, through Athletes in Action and then through the Christian Embassy of Canada.
After 20 years in Québec growing in faith and love for the Church, gaining a deep appreciation for building bridges between cultures and a heart for worship, she and her family moved back to Winnipeg and re-engaged with McIvor. She loves worshipping Jesus, playing her guitar and seeing Him transform lives. She works part-time as one of the office administrators, in addition to her continued work with the Christian Embassy of Canada and being a mom to two beautiful girls!
