January 29, 2024 – This Week at McIvor

Weekly Worship Service

Sunday at 10 a.m. Pastor Mikayla will be speaking on Philemon: A Slave Forgiven from Philemon 1:1-25. Sunday School for ages 4-14 will follow the service.

Pastor Kim is away from January 19 to February 9.

Prayer Focus: A Slave Transformed

I always thank my God when I pray for you…because I keep hearing about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God’s people. And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ. Your love has given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness has often refreshed the hearts of God’s people.Philemon 1:4-7

…Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them…This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!2 Corinthians 5:14-15, 17

Family News
