Our weekly service Sunday, July 23 at 10 a.m. includes a sermon by Albina Nikitina of Square One World Media, The Hard Sayings of Jesus: The Elder Brother. She will be speaking on Luke 15:11-32.

Practical Love, Support and Prayer

Let’s continue to pray for Elizabeth and Katia as they recover and heal from surgery. Another way we can support them is by blessing them with some meals in the next weeks. If you would like to do so, please sign up on the appropriate Meal Train:

Prayer for Kids Going to Camp Arnes

Our McIvor family is supporting 16 children in going to Camp Arnes this summer, August 14-19. Let’s also pray for them as they prepare for and experience camp, God’s creation and His amazing love for them! We are offering prayer cards, available at the camp table in the foyer.

New Church Alarm Codes are Active

We finally have alarm code success! After a meeting with the security system technician, subsequent trial and error and the help of Google, the new alarm codes are active and the old codes have been deactivated.

Sound Training & Service Opportunity

This summer we have been blessed with the addition of Max Wiebe to our staff. He is helping out with sound and livestreaming through the summer. Max is well-versed in audio services and he is willing to share his knowledge with us. This gives us a window of opportunity for training and growing our sound and livestream volunteers. We would like to invite anyone interested in learning our systems to join in this learning opportunity. In August we will have a workshop and personal mentoring will be available after that. Contact Anne to register your interest.

Summer Services – Thursday, August 3, 7 p.m.

Please be reminded of our upcoming change in summer worship schedule with the upcoming August long weekend. Prior to each long weekend, the weekly worship service will be held at 7 p.m. on the Thursday before the weekend: August 3 and August 31. This means no Sunday services on August 6 and Sept. 3. Services on Thursday evenings will include a time of refreshments and connecting after the service.

First Annual McIvor Garden Tour – August 9, 10 a.m.

We are planning our first annual Garden Tour! On August 9, we will meet at McIvor Church at 10 a.m. and we will proceed to visit various gardens belonging to fellow McIvor family members. At the end, we will have tea at Rodney’s house. Contact Tamira if you are willing to have your garden on the tour.

B-Side Apostles Concert – September 1, 1:30 p.m.

Mark your calendars, on September 1, the 55+ Walk & Talk Group will welcome back the B-Side Apostles for an afternoon concert with cake and coffee. There will be a $5 charge, please sign up through the church office.
