June 24, 2024 – This Week at McIvor

2024-06-27 Youth Thursday
Weekly Worship Service

Thursday at 7 p.m. Pastor Mikayla will lead the worship service, featuring the youth in a variety of ways, giving a glimpse into what they’ve been learning and how God has been at work in their lives. They are very excited to be involved in this service! Please come and encourage the youth of our church and community.

Please note that there will be no service on Sunday, June 30. Happy Canada Day long weekend!

Prayer Focus: Praying Paul’s Prayers

May I learn how to be content with whatever I have…knowing how to live in every situation–with plenty or little. For I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength. Thank you for taking good care of me, supplying all my needs from Your glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. (from Philippians 4:11-13, 19)

Pray also that the next generation will come to know our Lord in this way, as Jehovah Jireh, who generously provides all that we need – peace, comfort, love, grace, strength…ALL OUR NEEDS!

McIvor Year End BBQ – Thursday, 5:30 p.m.

Prior to the service on Thursday evening, all are welcome to our Year End BBQ to celebrate the end of the school year, the wrap up of our Midweek Kids Club and our Youth Program, and show appreciation for all our volunteers!

Help Send Newcomer Kids to Camp

With the help of McIvor Church and the Sunshine Fund, 14 kids will be heading off to Camp Arnes July 8-13. We have rounded up enough sleeping bags, but could use a few more big towels (gently used from the thrift store is fine) and reusable water bottles. However, our biggest need is funds to pay for our share of this adventure. The total amount McIvor owes is $2058.00. We have raised $1185.00, leaving $873 outstanding. If you would still like to contribute, please contact Colleen or Clara.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support of this project! The kids are counting down the days. Hopefully this will be the summer for them to encounter Jesus.

Meet and Greet Coffee with our Pastors – July 3, 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Since we have a new pastor, we invite you to join the pastors for coffee on Wednesday, July 3 at the church. Come and go between 1:30pm-3:30pm. There is no agenda, just an opportunity to connect.

Sign Up for the 2nd Annual McIvor Garden Tour – July 6, 10 a.m.

Our 2nd annual McIvor Garden Tour will take place July 6 at 10 a.m. Sign up here or in the foyer to include your garden on the tour and/or to participate in the tour. We can accommodate up to 8-10 gardens.

** Please consult the bulletin board for other events and opportunities, including missionary updates and job postings. **
