Weekly Worship Service

Sunday at 10 a.m. we welcome Marlene Wall, President of the Lithuanian Christian College, as our guest speaker. A number of people at McIvor have been involved at the college in various ways. Children ages 4-14 are invited to join us for Sunday School after the service.

We will continue the second half of our 8-part series on Philippians the following week. 

Welcome to Jon and Lynette and their family who have joined us at McIvor! Jon began his role as Teaching Pastor here at the church last week. We look forward to having you join the McIvor family!

Prayer Focus: Praying Paul’s Prayer

May we work hard to show the results of our salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in us, giving us the desire and the power to do what pleases Him. May we do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize us. May we live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Father, enable us to hold firmly to the word of life, offering You our faithful service with great joy! (adapted from Philippians 2:12-18)

55+ Walk and Talk – Ascension Day and Pizza Lunch – Tuesday, 10:30 

We will be starting our meeting at 10:30 with an Ascension Day themed devotional and a time of singing before enjoying pizza lunch together at 11:30. The cost is $5.00 at the door. You are welcome to come and walk before 10:30. Consider bringing a friend and a treat to share for dessert, along with your mug.

Worship Team Opportunity – Tech Team

Would you like to be part of the McIvor Tech Team? Isaac will be giving a training session on June 11 at 7 p.m. at the church. Please contact the office if you are interested in learning to operate the visual components of our services.

Kids Ministry Opportunity

We are reaching children and youth in our church and the surrounding community in many different ways. As these ministries grow, we need to plan for the fall and we need more people to be part of the planning! As a church we need to pray for the future of the family ministry activities and the significance that they have in the lives and spiritual formation of families. If you are interested in being part of a conversation about family ministry, please contact Pastor Mikayla. A meeting of interested people will be held soon.

McIvor Hobby Show – May 26, 2 p.m.

McIvor will host a McIvor Hobby Show on May 26. If you are interested in showcasing your hobby and sharing your special interest with others, contact Tamira.

Promotion Sunday – June 23

On June 23 we want to celebrate with our Sunday School kids and graduates. If you know of someone in the congregation who has graduated from any level of schooling, please contact the office so that we can include them in this celebration.

Summer Worship Schedule

Mark your calendars! Our summer worship services will be held on Sunday mornings, with the exception of three weekends. Prior to each long weekend, the worship service will be held at 7 p.m. on the Thursday before the weekend: June 27, August 1 and August 29. This means no Sunday services on June 30, August 4 and September 1. 

2nd Annual McIvor Garden Tour – July 6

We are excited to announce that our 2nd annual McIvor Garden Tour will take place July 6! That gives you plenty of time to plan your garden. If you would like to include your garden in the tour, sign up will begin in June.
