Weekly Worship Service

Our next weekly service will be Sunday, October 8 at 10 a.m. Pastor Kim will be speaking on Highlights from the Gospel of John: Who Sinned? Jesus Heals a Blind Man, from John 9:1-41. Following the service you are all invited to the gym to enjoy Thanksgiving Apple and Pumpkin Pie, crafts and games for the kids. There will be no Sunday School this week.

Prayer Focus: Provincial Election on Tuesday

May God’s will be done here on earth, as it is in heaven and as it relates to His choosing of our Premier. Pray that Manitobans will exercise their right and responsibility to vote. May we do so wisely and prayerfully.

Committee Reports Due October 3

We are having the Fall congregational meeting on October 22, following the service with lunch. If you are a committee chair and have not yet submitted a report, please do so by October 3 to [email protected].

Are You Passionate About Ministering to Young Adults?

If so, we are looking for people to serve as prayer warriors, worship leaders, ushers, baristas, speakers, etc. to be a part of a monthly Young Adult Worship and Prayer Ministry evening. Please contact Elwood or Pastor Mikayla.

Kids Club Ministry – Do you love kids and building relationships with them?

A HUGE thank you to all the volunteers who have stepped up so far for our midweek kids program! We now have enough people to make this ministry happen! It would still be helpful to have a few more people, so if you’re still interested in being involved once or twice a month, please contact Monica or Pastor Kim.

Food Bank Team Looking for Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to help with the Food Bank on Wednesday afternoons from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. We hope to have enough volunteers (of all ages) to make teams of 3-4 people to receive and store food away once a month. There is a physical aspect to this task, but we have taken measures to mitigate it with the use of carts and trolleys. Please contact Rodney if you are interested.

Donations of Fall and Winter Clothing

Anna Kakozi and the Missions Committee are hoping to assist several families who have recently arrived from the Democratic Republic of Congo by collecting fall and winter clothing for adults and children. Donations may be dropped off at the office. Contact Colleen for details.

MCC Buckets of Thanks

The McIvor Missions Committee is once again participating in the MCC Buckets of Thanks as our Thanksgiving project. More information to come next week.
