The Mennonite Brethren Church of Manitoba has adopted a new format to train our ministry team called Plan to Protect. If you are involved in any of our programs that engage with children or vulnerable adults, you will need to participate in one of these training sessions on October 6 or October 11. Contact Pastor Tamira.

Attention 55+ Folks! A Winnipeg Trolley Tour is being offered on October 20th at 1 p.m. For more information, see Hilda Martens at the sign-up table in the foyer on Sunday, or contact the church office. The price of the tour will be based on interest.

Counselling Services Coming in Fall – September 2026-April 2027

Meghan Fowler, a student in the Providence Theological Seminary’s Master of Counselling program, is completing her practicum in partnership with McIvor, under the supervision of licensed therapist, Carolyn O. Klassen, O.T. Reg. (MB), MAMFT. She is moving into therapy after years in church ministry as a pastor and worship director and holds an MA in Theological Studies from Regent College.

Meghan Fowler will be offering low-cost* counselling at McIvor MB Church until April, 2027. This is a wonderful opportunity for McIvor congregants to receive Christian counselling. Please contact the office if you are interested. Read more about Meghan and her approach to therapy here.

*Sessions are free for people who attend McIvor Mennonite Brethren Church. For those who do not attend McIvor, the fee is only $20 per session, which goes directly toward covering Meghan’s supervision fees. If cost is in any way a barrier for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Meghan about it. Please Note: For all clients, there is a $20 fee for sessions missed with less than 1 full business-day notice.
