Kim Stoesz

Lead Pastor
Tel: (204) 339-1691 ext. 3

Kim came to McIvor in the fall of 2018 as the Community Care Pastor and in April of 2024 she took on the role of Lead Pastor. Kim has been a pastor since 2007 and has a deep love for the church. In her role as Lead Pastor she leads the staff team, shares some of the preaching load and also oversees the caregiving needs of the church and officiates at funerals.

Kim and her husband enjoy travelling together and time with their children and grandchildren. She also enjoys being creative and has recently taken up pottery and is making way too many coffee mugs. That’s not all bad as she enjoys a good cup of coffee and is happy whenever people in the congregation want to chat over a cup of coffee or tea.

Mikayla Schroeder

Pastor of Family Ministries
Tel: (204) 339-1691 ext. 6

I am honoured to be part of the McIvor family, serving as the Pastor of Family Ministries here! I am a student at Canadian Mennonite University, majoring in Biblical Studies and Social Sciences. One of my favourite parts of the week has always been hanging out with kids at youth group. I enjoy playing games, making relationships and being able to talk about Christianity. As a young person, there are many things going on in life and my hope is to come alongside kids and speak into their lives, wherever they may be. Christ’s love has impacted me deeply and this is something I want to share with students.

Other interests: I love sports (basketball, volleyball, ultimate, handball). I enjoy being outdoors and camping. Thrifting is something I enjoy doing and photography has always been a fun way for me to be creative!

Areas of leadership leadership at McIvor Church: working with youth to disciple and point them towards Christ in some of life’s most difficult and challenging times. Also to have fun!

Jonathan Klassen

Teaching Pastor
Tel: (204) 339-1691 ext. 5

Jon’s passion for the Church sparked as a young adult and sent him on a journey, first to Steinbach Bible College (where he met his wife, Lynette), then to Providence University College and Theological Seminary for his MDiv, and now here at McIvor as Teaching Pastor.

Jon enjoys learning, contemplating and trying out ideas–especially theology, and most especially, Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Above all, Jon loves diving into deep study of Scripture to see the Word of God come alive in the life of the Church. Other interests include hiking, camping, and gardening (all improved by a cup of coffee somewhere in the process). Jon thinks he would probably be a pretty good landscape photographer if Lynette would let him use her camera (but she won’t).

Colleen Epp

Office Administrator
Tel: (204) 339-1691 ext. 2

Colleen and her family have attended McIvor since 2005, participating in many aspects of church life. Currently one of the office administrators, she enjoys helping the church run from behind the scenes and welcoming visitors to the office with a fresh cup of coffee. Away from work, Colleen likes baking pies and buns, reading British mysteries and looking for ways to attract more birds to her yard.

Stephanie Kiouangou

Office Administrator
Tel: (204) 339-1691 ext. 2

Stephanie grew up calling McIvor home, until she moved to Québec to build relationships with and make Jesus known among the most unreached people group in North America, through Athletes in Action and then through the Christian Embassy of Canada

After 20 years in Québec growing in faith and love for the Church, gaining a deep appreciation for building bridges between cultures and a heart for worship, she and her family moved back to Winnipeg and re-engaged with McIvor. She loves worshipping Jesus, playing her guitar and seeing Him transform lives. She works part-time as one of the office administrators, in addition to her continued work with the Christian Embassy of Canada and being a mom to two beautiful girls!

Isaac Epp

Service Production Coordinator

Isaac has attended McIvor for most of his life. Besides working at McIvor as the Service Production Coordinator, he studies Business Administration at Red River College Polytechnic. In his spare time, Isaac seeks out opportunities to go canoeing, camping and fishing. He’s often heard playing guitar, and occasionally the harmonica.
