Weekly Worship Service

Looking towards the third Advent, Sunday at 10 a.m. Pastor Jon will continue our Advent series, Christmas According to Luke, with a sermon entitled Simeon and Anna from Luke 2:25-40. Sunday School for children ages preschool to grade 5 will follow the service.

OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT AND SERVE

Blue Christmas – December 22, 7 p.m.

You are invited to a service of hope and healing this Christmas season. Are you tired, weary, heartbroken, or lonely? Join us as we reflect on God’s love through liturgy and music, with coffee and conversation to follow.

Driving Kids to Youth – 1 Wednesday evening a month

We are in need of two volunteers to pick up a few kids and/or drive them home from Youth Group once every month or two. This will give the volunteer who has done this weekly for the past couple of years, a break. This is a valuable opportunity to give these youth a chance to form vital connections with others from McIvor who care about them. Contact Pastor Mikayla if you’re interested, or have questions.

Help Kids’ Club Flourish! – Wednesdays, 7 p.m.

Thank you to all the volunteers who have already signed up to help make our midweek Kids’ Club happen again this year. We are still looking for at least one more volunteer to help one Wednesday a month to ensure the program can run to its fullest potential. Please speak to Monica Friesen if you would be willing to help this ministry flourish.

2025 Thailand Mission Trip

We announced the possibility of a Thailand Mission Trip in the second half of 2025 during the fall congregational meeting. If you are interested, email Heather.

Christmas with the Phil: Snow Day! – December 15, 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir presents CHRISTMAS WITH THE PHIL: SNOW DAY! at Crescent Fort Rouge United Church. Our guest choir is from the combined campuses of the Winnipeg Mennonite School. With Wes Elias, organ, Donna Laube, piano and Vijay Chalasani, viola and including our popular audience sing-a-longs, you’ll be ready for the holidays.
