2025-03-02 Luke The Center of History - What Were You Hoping To See
Weekly Worship Service

Join us Sunday at 10 a.m. for our weekly Worship Service. We will hear from Pastor Kim, who will continue our series, Luke: The Center of History, with a sermon on Luke 7:18-35 entitled, What were you hoping to see?.

Our annual Finance Meeting will be held immediately following the service at 11:15 a.m., followed by lunch that will be provided by the Food Committee. Please bring a dessert to share. The Finance Report is available here or in hard copy at the Information Centre.

Please note that Sunday School will resume on March 9.

OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT AND SERVE
Bible Study Small Groups

Pastor Jon is organizing McIvor Bible study/small groups. If you are currently in a small group of some sort (even if it isn’t a ‘McIvor-only’ group), or would like to join one, please leave your info on the sign-up sheet in the foyer. If you’d like to join a committee for organizing and resourcing small groups, contact Pastor Jon

Family Fun Day Thank You! – from Monica

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Family Fun Day last week such a success! It’s so great to see so many new and familiar faces each time we host this event.

We are looking to expand our planning team for next year’s events, particularly to include aspects such as a prayer team and a greeting team. If you would be interested in helping, or would just like more information about what your involvement could look like, please contact Monica.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Used Couches for Youth Room?

The Youth Room renovation is well underway and we are casting the net to see if anyone is willing to donate used couches to go into our space. If you’ve been wanting to get rid of a couch for a while, we would love to consider taking it off your hands. We ask that you send a photo and dimensions to Pastor Mikayla, to ensure it will fit in the space. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this process so far!

Please note that the “overflow” area is already being used for Youth and Young Adults and can no longer serve as a storage area. Thanks for your understanding.

Opportunity to Support Brian and Ruth Dyck with Equip Canada

At 55+ Walk and Talk we heard Brian and Ruth Dyck speak of their desire to help farmers with a specially designed tractor that can help farmers in Uganda develop fertile land and feed themselves, while leading them to God. They need to raise $70,000 to ship several tractors–being built here in Manitoba–in a donated container and to travel to facilitate their appropriate use and serve in their mission there as they are self-funding. If you are interested in supporting them in their mission, you can do so by donating here.
