Weekly Worship Service

In anticipation of the upcoming August long weekend, we will worship together Thursday at 7 p.m., with Scott Koop preaching a message entitled Stepping Down From Your Throne from Jonah 3:1-10. There will be no service on Sunday, August 3.

OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT AND SERVE

Youth Water Night – Wednesday, 7-9 p.m.

All youth are invited to join us for a water night at McIvor, where we will play outdoor games, have snacks, chat and likely get soaked! Bring a towel and clothes that can get wet. We hope to see you there! See details here.

Help Send Kids to Camp – August 11-16

Thank you so much for your ongoing support of this year’s 11 campers that we are helping to send to Camp Arnes. The first camper leaves August 5 and the rest will follow on August 11. Financial donations designated “Campership Fund” are welcome. We now have enough sleeping bags, but could use a couple more big towels. To encourage specific prayer for each camper, there will be prayer cards for each camper available in the foyer. Contact Colleen in the office for more information.

Praying for our Youth – Prayer Cards Available at the Information Centre

Please pray for our Youth, Youth Leaders and for the continued work of the Holy Spirit in their lives throughout the summer. You can pick up prayer cards at the Information Centre, outlining ways to pray for the ministry, including specific requests that individual youth have made related to their concerns for their futures, relationships, fears, for healing, protection…You can also see their prayer requests consolidated here. Thank you for investing in their lives through the powerful, effective act of praying for them!

Due to the recent challenges with the live stream, we will be uploading the recording following the service, rather than live-streaming. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work on finding solutions to provide a high quality live stream.

Congratulations to Patricia Kumbakisaka, MBCI Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient!

MBCI is pleased to announce the three recipients of the new MBCI Distinguished Alumni Award. This award recognizes deserving alumni who model Christ-centered living, a commitment to learning, compassionate engagement, leadership and support of the MBCI community.

Patricia Kumbakisaka (Class of 2007), daughter of Therese Kumbakisaka and the late Leopold Kumbakisaka, is one of these distinguished recipients. This Spotlight on Patricia, highlights her journey across continents, continually rooted in Christ-centered purpose. “My faith is at the heart of everything I do. Whether I’m presenting policy or mentoring a newcomer, I pray first. Because the work is bigger than me.”

The MBCI 80^th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration is on September 27. Alumni, former staff, current students and families, friends of MBCI are invited to celebrate 80 years of life and learning. Learn more and to register.
