June 15, 2026 - This Week at McIvor

Sunday at 10 a.m. we will gather together for our worship service and Pastor Jon will continue with Stories From Scripture, speaking from Ruth 4:1-22; Luke 1:46-55 with a sermon entitled New Life.

It is also Promotion Sunday, when we celebrate all our kids and youth who are finishing their school year, many of whom are marking milestones as they graduate Preschool, Grade 5, Grade 8 and Grade 12.

Promotion Sunday – June 21

Day of Prayer and Fasting for Lead Pastor and Volunteer Positions – June 28

We invite you to join in a Day of Prayer and Fasting for the Lead Pastor and volunteer positions that are available. Please prayerfully fast however the Lord prompts and let’s trust God to go above and beyond what we can imagine!

Summer Worship Schedule

Mark your calendars! Our summer worship services will be held on Sunday mornings, with the exception of the three long weekends. Prior to each long weekend, the worship service will be held at 7 p.m. on the Thursday before: July 2, July 30 and September 3. This means there will be no Sunday services on July 5, August 2 and September 6.

Campership

This year McIvor is able to send 15 young people (ages 8-17) to Camp Arnes, including two older teens to Crew, the two-week work program. Most of the kids will be attending August 10-15, with the two Crew members starting on August 4. How can you help?

Pray for campers (prayer cards are coming soon) and for Camp Arnes who is still looking to fill key staff roles.
Financial gifts to cover the portion McIvor will pay (still being finalized) and various camp supplies needed by campers.
Some of the sleeping bags being stored at church were used last year. It would be great if volunteers could take a few bags to a laundromat to be washed and dried, ready for new campers.
Donate beach towels for campers who do not have one.

Counselling Services Coming in Fall – September 2026-April 2027

Meghan Fowler, a student in the Providence Theological Seminary’s Master of Counselling program has asked to complete her practicum in partnership with our church. Her services will be available from September 2026 to mid-April 2027. Council believes that this is a wonderful opportunity for McIvor congregants to seek Christian counselling during this period.

Save the Date: McIvor’s 50th Anniversary – October 3-4, 2026

We are excited to celebrate McIvor’s 50th Anniversary this fall! Please save the dates of October 3 and 4. Further details will be forthcoming, but a dinner will be included on Saturday night.
