Worship Service

Sunday at 10 a.m. we will gather together for our worship service and will continue with Stories From Scripture. Pierre will speak from John 19:16-22; Psalm 24 with a sermon entitled The Crucified Messiah.

Sunday School for ages preschool through grade 5 will be offered following the service.

Adult Education: Excursions into the Torah with Pierre Gilbert – beginning Sunday, 11:10 a.m.

The Old Testament is the most remarkable collection of books ever to appear in human history. As mathematician and philosopher David Berlinski has observed, it is “the greatest repository of human knowledge and wisdom in the history of civilization, in any culture, any time, any place.”

In this series, we will focus particularly on the Torah (the Pentateuch), with special emphasis on the creation account. In addition to providing an introduction to the Torah, we will examine the following topics:

Divine Transcendence
Creation Out of Nothing
Only One God
The Foundation of Empirical Science
The Death of the Gods and the Abolition of Magic
Human Dignity: In the Image of God
The Origin of Evil
Eve and the Serpent

Mark your calendars! This series will be offered on March 29, April 12, April 19, May 3, May 10, May 17 and May 24.

Congratulations to Bob and Geri Dyck!

Bob and Geri became grandparents, with the birth of Adalyn Marie Dyck, daughter of Matt and Cheryl Dyck on Sunday, March 15 at 11:50 p.m.

Please note that Pastor Mikayla is now officially on maternity leave as she and Kevin eagerly await the birth of their baby!

Affirmation Vote Results

Last Sunday, March 15, Tamira Wiebe was affirmed as our Interim Youth Pastor. Her first day will be April 1.

McIvor Lent Giving Project: One88 Community Church

We are collecting socks, underwear, feminine hygiene products, razors, shampoo/conditioner and non-perishable food for One88 Community Church, as well as monetary donations that will go towards their kitchen renovation until Easter Sunday: If you have any questions please contact Heather Dyck, or the church office. Good Friday Service, April 3, 10 a.m. – Reader’s Theatre Jesus, Messiah!

We are hosting a special Good Friday Service with a Reader’s Theatre entitled Jesus, Messiah!, which will tell the story of Jesus’ birth, life and death. All are welcome to experience a fresh perspective on this amazing story!

Easter Sunday Service, April 5, 10 a.m., followed by a Paska Potluck

Join us in celebrating our risen Saviour, Jesus Christ of Nazareth! You are invited to bring flowers to participate in our longstanding tradition of flowering the cross during the service. We will also have some extra flowers on hand. Please consider who you might invite to come with you!

Following the service, we hope you will join us in the gym for fellowship and paska. Please bring a paska to share that is ready to serve.
