Weekly Worship Service
Join us Easter Sunday at 10am as we celebrate our risen Saviour and the reason for our hope! Pastor Kim will be speaking on Romans 8:1-11 and The Power Within Us. There will be no Sunday School this week.
Prayer Focus: Rejoice Your King Is Coming To You
“Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble…” Zechariah 9:9
“Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Praise God in highest heaven!” Matthew 21:9
This week we will welcome around 30 kids and youth for our Spring Break Day Camp. Pray that, during this week leading up to Easter, they would encounter Jesus who came to us and made a way for us to God…all because of His love!
With the church buzzing with kids at Spring Break Camp, please note that Pickleball, Youth Group and Kids Club is cancelled March 25-29.
McIvor Spring Break Day Camp – March 25-28
Our Spring Break Day Camp is underway! A huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far to help make this ministry possible.
If you would still like to donate baked cookies or Rice Krispie squares, please drop them by the church early this week.
Update from the HR Committee
On March 9-10 Jon Klassen candidated at McIvor Ave. Church for the 1.0 Teaching Pastor Position. Jon, and sometimes Lynnette, met with the HR and Search Committees, Council, Office Administrators and Kim. They toured the facility and Jon preached. They again visited informally for worship on March 17. Jon indicated they would like to be considered for the position.
On March 19 the Search/HR Committees and Council met to review the candidating process, communications and references and are making the following recommendation to the congregation:
Motion: that Jon Klassen be hired for the 1.0 Teaching Pastor position and Kim Stoesz for the 1.0 Lead Pastor position gradually transitioning to .7. (Moved by Henry Reimer, Second by Ed Redekopp)
The vote will be held on April 7, 2024 at a brief Congregational Meeting following the service.

Missions Committee Lent Project

Easter Is Here!
Good Friday Service Keeping Vigil at the Cross – Friday, 10am
Join us for this imaginative retelling of the hours following Jesus’ crucifixion, written by Ingrid Koss. Those who loved and followed Him believe He was sent by God to save them. Now they gather at the cross to honour the man who impacted them so profoundly, and to hope – in spite of the devastating evidence – that there is still new life to come. Be inspired by their stories of transformation and hope for the future! Good Friday Flyer
Easter Sunday Service – Sunday, 10am
We will celebrate the risen Jesus! Through the resurrection of Jesus, God conquered death and we live with the hope of eternity with Jesus. Our service will include a children’s feature and the flowering of the cross. This is a great opportunity to invite family and friends! We will have some flowers on hand, we invite you to bring flowers for the flowering of the cross. Following the service, Paska will be served in the gym. Please bring a Paska to share that is iced, sliced and ready to serve.
