Weekly Worship Services

Sunday at 10 a.m. we will welcome Darrell Janzen, Executive Director of Simonhouse Bible Camp, the only MB affiliated camp in Manitoba. Simonhouse Bible Camp strives to provide a safe, caring environment where all kids can come and experience new activities, have lots of fun, and perhaps forget even just for a while, some of the burdens they carry on their small shoulders. He will speak on Hebrews 12:1-3, with a sermon entitled, Looking to Jesus.

Following the service, Rev. Dr. Robert Dean will offer the second of a 3-part adult education opportunity:

Immersed in the Mystery of the Triune God: Engaging the Apostles’ Creed – May 25 and June 1 following the serviceThe Apostle’s Creed stands as an effective summary of the Christian faith, an interpretive key for Scripture and the pledge of allegiance for those baptized into Christ. Join us following the Worship Service, as Rev. Dr. Robert Dean, Associate Professor of Theology and Ethics at Providence University, leads us on a three week exploration of our faith as we engage with the Apostle’s Creed.There will be no Sunday School for children this week.

Summer Volunteers Needed at McIvor Food Bank

Summer is approaching quickly, and while many of us are looking forward to traveling and camping, the food bank is still in need of support. We’re looking for 6–8 volunteers who can help once or twice a month, either with:

receiving food donations on Wednesdays, and/or
distributing food on Thursday evenings

Volunteer Opportunity: McIvor Friendship Potluck Supper – June 12, 5-6:30 p.m.

The McIvor Friendship Supper is a monthly potluck, inviting Harvest, Razorback and Kids’ Club families to join us. This is a McIvor potluck and we are not expecting our guests to bring anything.

Thursday’s supper is a come and go between 5 and 6:30 p.m. We need you to come and bring a main dish or dessert for 8-10 people.

We also need volunteers to help with kitchen duties and/or table and chair set up/take down.

Let’s reach out to the families in our midst! Contact Ron to sign up.

Pickleball

There will be no Pickleball on Monday evening. Also please note that during the spring and summer seasons, Pickleball with children on Monday evenings is cancelled, but will continue from 7-9 p.m. for adults as of May 26.

Promotion Sunday – June 22

Are you graduating? We want to celebrate with our graduates on Sunday June 22. Please let the church office know if you, or someone you know in the congregation is graduating from high school or postsecondary school.

MBCI 80th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration – September 27, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

All alumni, current students and families and friends of MBCI are invited to attend Homecoming 2025 to celebrate 80 years of friendship, community, learning and of God’s faithfulness to MBCI.

Remember and reconnect, while making new memories together. Come to this “choose your own adventure” style event: a short opening program in Jubilee Place, followed by a wide range of activity options including a chance to make music together as an impromptu choir and band, alumni volleyball tournament and basketball skills competition, family carnival, food trucks, campus tours and afternoon faspa.
