Weekly Worship Service
Sunday at 10 a.m. Pastor Mikayla will continue our new series, 1 Samuel: Who Is Your King?, speaking from 1 Samuel 8:1-22 with a sermon entitled Give Us A King. Read more about the sermon series. Sunday School for children aged preschool to grade 5 will follow the service.

Natalie’s dad passed away very peacefully on Wednesday, November 6 just after 7 p.m. We are so very sad, but also rejoicing that he is released from his pain and suffering and in the presence of Jesus. Funeral arrangements are through Friends Funeral Service. Please check their website for details.
Help Kids’ Club Flourish! – Wednesdays, 7 p.m.
Thank you to all the volunteers who have already signed up to help make our midweek Kids’ Club happen again this year. We are still looking for at least one more volunteer to help one Wednesday a month to ensure the program can run to its fullest potential. Please speak to Monica Friesen if you would be willing to help this ministry flourish.
Christmas at Madison House
It’s that time of year again and the McIvor Mission Committee is preparing for our annual Christmas party at Madison House! We will be collecting donations starting November 17 until December 1. We are looking for the following items:
- underwear (M/W sizes M or L)
- socks (M/W)
- shaving razors disposable
- large shampoo or conditioner
- cash donations
Watch for a sign up sheet if you would like to come to the party, date TBD!
Harvest Volunteer Appreciation Christmas Potluck – November 28, 6-8 p.m.

Family Fun Day – December 1, 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
We will be hosting our next Family Fun Day December 1! We are looking for individuals or ensembles who would be willing to perform some Christmas carols in the coffeehouse throughout the event. If you’re interested in signing up, or if you have any questions, please contact Monica Friesen.
55+ Walk and Talk Christmas Advent Lunch, featuring The B-Side Apostles – December 5, 12 p.m.
55+ Walk and Talk is once again hosting a Christmas Advent Lunch, featuring The B-Side Apostles on December 5. This is a catered turkey dinner and entertainment. Tickets ($25) are only available in advance and may be purchased most Sundays in the foyer.

Steve Bell Concert–November 15, 7:30 p.m., Burton Cummings Theatre
Christian singer-songwriter Steve Bell will be performing in Winnipeg with his band (featuring special guest pianist Mike Janzen) on Friday, November 15, 7:30 p.m. at the Burton Cummings Theatre, 364 Smith St. The concert is celebrating his 23rd album release, The Glad Surprise. Recovery of Hope is hosting foremost authority on child development, best-selling author and international speaker, Dr. Gordon Neufeld. He will be speaking on What’s Happening to our Kids? The Current Crisis of Wellbeing. The event will take place at the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain and tickets are $25 and can be purchased here. Read more. Christmas Carol Concert and Sing-Along – One Hope Canada – December 7, 4 p.m.
Usher in the Christmas season in support of One Hope Canada during a very special Christmas Carol Concert and Sing-Along, featuring music director Howard Bredin and special guests The Chapel Brass Band and Male Chorus at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church (570 Sharon Bay South). The evening will also feature stories of how One Hope Canada is sharing the love of Jesus with children, youth and families. Admission is free, with an opportunity to support this work and ministry via a free-will offering.
