Weekly Worship Service

Sunday at 10 a.m. Pastor Kim will begin our Advent series, Christmas According to Luke, speaking from Luke 1:5-25 and focusing on Zechariah and Elizabeth. There will be no Sunday School next week. 

Following the service, all are invited to join in the Festive Family Fun Day. Invite your friends, family and neighbours! We will be serving an Italian inspired lunch and there will be activities for all ages. See you there and come ready to connect with our community!

OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT AND SERVE

Driving Kids to Youth – 1 Wednesday evening a month

We are in need of two volunteers to pick up a few kids and/or drive them home from Youth Group once every month or two. This will give the volunteer who has done this weekly for the past couple of years, a break. This is a valuable opportunity to give these youth a chance to form vital connections with others from McIvor who care about them. Contact Pastor Mikayla if you’re interested, or have questions.

Help Kids’ Club Flourish! – Wednesdays, 7 p.m.

Thank you to all the volunteers who have already signed up to help make our midweek Kids’ Club happen again this year. We are still looking for at least one more volunteer to help one Wednesday a month to ensure the program can run to its fullest potential. Please speak to Monica Friesen if you would be willing to help this ministry flourish.

Harvest Volunteer Appreciation Christmas Potluck – November 28, 6-8 p.m.

All Harvest volunteers are invited for a Christmas Potluck Supper November 28 at 6 p.m. Please RSVP with Rodney.

Christmas at Madison House – December 7, 10-11:30 a.m.

It’s that time of year again and the Missions Committee is preparing for our annual Christmas party at Madison House! We are collecting donations of the following items:

• baked cookies
• socks
• deodorant
• shampoo
• monetary donations

All items can be dropped off at the church until December 5th. If you wish to participate in the Christmas party (carol singing, giving the gift bags, interacting with the residents) sign up in the foyer.

55+ Walk and Talk Advent Lunch, featuring The B-Side Apostles – December 5, 12 p.m.

To celebrate the Advent season, we are hosting a catered turkey dinner, featuring the band The B-Side Apostles. Tickets ($25) are only available in advance and may be purchased on Sundays in the foyer.

2025 Thailand Mission Trip

We announced the possibility of a Thailand Mission Trip in the second half of 2025 during the fall congregational meeting. If you are interested, email Heather.

Christmas Carol Concert and Sing-Along – One Hope Canada – December 7, 4 p.m.

Usher in the Christmas season in support of One Hope Canada during a very special Christmas Carol Concert and Sing-Along, featuring music director Howard Bredin and special guests The Chapel Brass Band and Male Chorus at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church (570 Sharon Bay South). The evening will also feature stories of how One Hope Canada is sharing the love of Jesus with children, youth and families. Admission is free, with an opportunity to support this work and ministry via a free-will offering.
