Weekly Worship Service

Sunday at 10 a.m. Pastor Jon will conclude our series, Hebrews: Jesus is Greater, speaking from Hebrews 10:1-39 with a sermon entitled The Real Thing. There will be no Sunday School this week.

We invite you to join us in the gym after the service for a Thanksgiving Pie Potluck–a time of food, fun and fellowship. If you’re able, please bring a pie to share.

Kids’ Club – Wednesdays, 7 p.m.

Our midweek Kids’ Club is looking for 3 more volunteers willing to help out one Wednesday night a month. There are a variety of roles that need to be filled. Contact Monica to sign up, or if you have questions.

Pickleball is Back! – Monday evenings and Friday mornings

Come out, get active and give Pickleball a try: Monday evenings (6-7 p.m. with kids and 7-9 p.m. for adults) and Friday mornings for adults (9-11 a.m.). All ages and skill levels are welcome and a racquet and footwear are assumed. Contact Irv for more information.

Worship Team Opportunity

We are always looking for singers and musicians who have a passion for worshipping Jesus! In particular, you may have noticed our very quiet, empty drum set on the stage, just itching to be played. If you or someone you know may be interested in participating on the worship team, please talk to Anne or another member of the team.

McIvor Coffeehouse

Do you love coffee? Our Coffeehouse Team is looking for Baristas to join us! This is a great way to connect with our church community and learn a new skill (making fancy coffee is fun). All training provided—no, you don’t need to be a trained coffee expert. Our team is a lot of fun and we’d love for you to join us. Baristas typically serve once every 4-6 weeks. If you want to join the McIvor Coffeehouse Team, or have questions, please connect with Luke.

Young Adult Bible Study

Young adults are invited to join our Bible study, which brings together people from multiple churches to dig into the Word and discuss the historical, theological and relational aspects of the Bible. There is also an opportunity to break into smaller groups to discuss the study and check in about people’s lives. Often we meet in someone’s home over coffee, tea and snacks. Contact Pastor Mikayla for more information. 

Singin’ in the Grain – Canadian Foodgrains Bank with MCC – October 27, 3 p.m., Douglas Mennonite Church

We invite you to join us for Singin’ in the Grain, a live choral concert by the Eastman Male Choir and the Faith and Life Male Choir supporting the work of Canadian Foodgrains Bank and MCC. You will also be given an opportunity to hear inspiring stories. Admission is free. Donations are welcome. Learn more.
