April 14, 2025 – This Week at McIvor

2025-04-20 Luke The Center of History - The Empty Tomb
Weekly Worship Services

Join us for our Good Friday Service, Come to the Table, at 10 a.m. In the Gospel of Luke, we read over and over again how Jesus invited people to eat with Him. Come to the Table is a dramatic presentation of Jesus’ life, crucifixion and death that includes music, Scripture, contemplation and “eye witness” accounts of people whose lives were changed when they encountered Jesus–when they came to the table–and entered into a personal and saving relationship with Him.

A simultaneous Good Friday service for kids of all ages will be held in the Kids’ Chapel. Parents are welcome to come with their kids, or kids can attend on their own.

Sunday at 10 a.m. we celebrate our resurrected Saviour! Pastor Jon will conclude our series, Luke: The Center of History, with a sermon on Luke 24:1-49 entitled, The Empty Tomb. We will once again be flowering the cross, a powerful visual as we celebrate Jesus’ victory over death and the grave. You are welcome to bring your own flowers and we will also have flowers available for all to participate.

Sunday School for ages preschool through grade 5 will follow the service. We also invite you to enjoy a Paska Potluck in the foyer. Please bring your Paska ready to serve (iced and sliced).

Please prayerfully consider who you might invite to join you in encountering the living Jesus through these Good Friday and Easter services!

If you missed receiving previous McIvor Lent handouts, or would like to access them digitally, they are available here.
