Weekly Worship Service

Sunday at 10 a.m. we will continue with Stories From Scripture. Pastor Jon will preach a sermon entitled Jesus and Nicodemus, from John 3:1-21; Psalm 139:13-18. Sunday School for children ages preschool through grade 5 will be offered following the service.

Our Condolences to Leah Kosolofski

We offer our condolences to Leah Kosolofski on the passing of her mother Christel (Reimer) Kosolofski. Christel passed away on Monday, January 12. Christel was a sister to Henry and Sharon Reimer and sister-in-law to Linda Reimer. Read her obituary.

A memorial service was held at Friends Funeral Chapel on Monday, January 19. Please pray for the family at this difficult time.

Baby Shower for Lynette Klassen – Sunday, 2 p.m.

Join us Sunday at 2 p.m. for an Afternoon Tea celebrating mothers and daughters. We will be featuring mothers and daughters from McIvor and elsewhere.

Small Groups

There are a number of small groups here at McIvor. These gatherings are an extension of our life together as a worshipping community. If you would like to join a small group, or would like more information, please contact Pastor Jon.

EAL Volunteer Opportunity – February 5, February 12 at 9:45-11:30 a.m.

An EAL (English as Additional Language) childcare volunteer is needed for February 5 and February 12 from 9:45-11:30 a.m.. If you can help on one of these dates, please contact Pastor Sherryl.

Drivers for Youth Urgently Needed!

We are in urgent need of drivers willing to help transport kids to and from Youth on Wednesday evenings. If you are able to help out in this way, please contact Pastor Mikayla. 

Collecting Yarn, Fabric, Craft Supplies for Donation to an Orphanage in Mexico

If you have extra yarn, fabric or craft supplies, please bring them and place them in the bin in the foyer for donation to an orphanage in Mexico by January 31.

Community Supper – February 12, 5-6:30 p.m.

All are welcome February 12 from 5-6:30 p.m. for our next Community Supper. Harvest, Razorback and Kids Club families have been invited to join us for a come and go style dinner. 

We are asking 5 people to bring a pot of Hamburger or Lentil Soup (Dutch Oven size). Recipes are available from Anne Friesen (204.290.8806). Desserts are also welcome.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with table and chair set up/take down and/or light kitchen duties, please sign up in the church foyer, or contact Ron. 

Family Games Night – February 12, 6:30-7:45 p.m.

We are partnering with our Kids Club program in hosting a Family Games Night following the Community Supper from 6:30-7:45 p.m. for all ages! Feel free to bring your favourite game to share!

Calvin Christian School Information Night – Thursday, January 29, 7 p.m.
