2024-07-21 Divine Questions LOL!
Weekly Worship Service

Our next worship service will be Sunday at 10 a.m. Andrew Dyck, Assistant Professor of Christian Spirituality and Pastoral Ministry at CMU, will continue our 8-part series, speaking from Genesis 18:1-15, 21:1-7 entitled Divine Questions: LOL!

This summer we will explore some of the divine questions asked in Scripture. Our prayer is that as we engage with the questions Jesus asks of us, we will be filled more deeply by the Holy Spirit with the knowledge of God. Read more

Prayer Focus: Surrender

…You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.Matthew 16:23

…If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?Matthew 16:24-26

Twelve Kids Experienced an Amazing Week at Camp!

Thank you very much to everyone who supported this year’s campers! Twelve kids between the ages of 8-15 attended Camp Arnes this week and came home yesterday happy, but very tired. McIvor helped cover the cost of registration and transportation and provided each camper with a sleeping bag, pillow, large towel and water bottle. This year, we also rented a mini bus to pick up those who needed a ride to the Arnes bus and return them home. Twelve kids spent a week beside a lake, tried new things and heard about Jesus. Thank you!!

Youth Working at the Church this Summer!

We are very excited to receive funding from the provincial Green Team Grant so that we could hire two youth, Grace and Sandra, to work at McIvor this summer. They will work July through until September. Please pray that this internship might be a growing opportunity for their relationship with McIvor, and more importantly with God.

We encourage you to contact Pastor Mikayla if you would like a visit from the three of us and/or would like some help with light yard work, or other tasks!
