November 17, 2025 – This Week at McIvor

2025-11-23 Stories from Scripture Hope in the Rubble - Jeremiah 291, 4-14
Weekly Worship Service

On Sunday at 10 a.m. Moses Falco will continue with Stories from Scripture, preaching a sermon entitled Hope in the Rubble, from Jeremiah 29:1, 4-14

Moses Falco lives with his wife, Jessica and their three kids in Winnipeg, MB. In April, he started as the Operations Manager for Mennonite Disaster Service Canada, where he gets to experience the incredible generosity of donors and volunteers who help to restore hope to disaster survivors. Before this, he pastored at Sterling Mennonite Fellowship in Winnipeg for 10 years.

Sunday School for children ages preschool to grade 5 will follow the service, as will Adult Education with Dr. Andrew Dyck and the final part of Stories that Shape and Reshape Us.

Adult Education Series: Stories That Shape and Reshape Us, Sunday, 11:10 a.m.

Stories shape the connections and the barriers between us. This is also true for churches—including the Mennonite Brethren (MB) church. Dr. Andrew Dyck will tell older and newer stories that shape how MB churches relate to other churches (or don’t). These stories matter, because Jesus prayed that all His followers would be “one.” Let’s consider together how these stories shape our practices of unity and how we might create stories of visible inter-church unity today.

Festive Family Fun Day – Sunday, 12-3:30 p.m.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with this event. Please check out the table in the foyer to see how you can help.
